Martin's first professional commission was in 1997 working with Theatre of Widdershins on their theatrical production of Rumpelstiltskin. He has since continued to compose music for film, theatre, concert hall and various exhibitions. Notable commissions include 2006 Edinburgh Festival Fringe award winner The King’s Got Donkey’s Ears! and 2011 Puppets On Film Festival award winner The Tree Man.
